What does organic farming in Luxembourg produce today, which products are in demand among consumers and how can farms adapt their production to this demand?
The IBLA’s research project ‘Characterisation of the main value chains of organic agriculture in Luxembourg’ (Bio-WSK Lux), which has been running since April 2023, aims to provide answers to these questions.
The preliminary project results will serve as the basis for this workshop.
‘Diversify production, establish partnerships, reduce risks’
Under this motto, the potential and challenges of new value chains of farmers will be defined together with representatives from trade and processing.
The event will discuss which products agriculture can and wants to produce, which needs are recognised by the trade and which infrastructures are required for production and further processing.
The aim of the workshop is to form interest groups with concrete project ideas and then to promote their implementation as part of the ‘Plan d’action national de promotion de l’agriculture biologique’ (PAN-Bio).
